Hello, everyone!  In case you haven’t heard of this already, I would like to introduce you to the Origami Star Project.

I’m sure Nerdfighters in particular are familiar with the charity This Star Won’t Go Out, which was created in honor of Esther Earl.  Well, a few months ago I came up with an idea to help out this wonderful charity.

You know those little puffy origami stars?  Well, for each origami star you guys make we will donate 10 cents to TSWGO.  But we need your help!  We need people to make the stars as well as more donors to help fund everything.  So please, please tell everyone you know about this.  If tumblr can get a girl a fluffy chicken, you guys can give this post enough notes to really get the word out.

Hello, everyone, this is Sarah.  I’ve noticed that star production has gone down lately and I figured we need to do something about this!

So, to stimulate production I’ve decided I’d do some sort of mini-contest sort of thing.

Here are the rules:

The person who makes the most stars from now (March 1st at 4:34 PM EST) through March 7 at 4:34 PM EST will receive a prize.

This is what the person will win:

• I will promote you on my personal blog for a week
• I will write you a oneshot fanfiction of a pairing of your choice (preferably from something that I’m at least somewhat familiar with)
• You will receive one of the top-secret prizes that have not been revealed yet

So please, guys, tell your friends and get the word out and start making those stars!  Also, donations would be extremely helpful, if you can spare the money!  All regular rules apply, so please check out the FAQ if you have any questions, or feel free to drop a question in the ask box.
